A Scott Young Trifecta!

Scott Young drops another gem on us: improvements to Manila's RSS caching code are coming. This should be a significant improvement to larger servers hosting hundreds of weblogs. The caching flaw meant that when a user asked for an RSS feed, Manila generated it from scratch every time. Wow. Hundreds of users times hundreds of weblogs equals lots of wasted processor cycles. Like Martha used to say: It's a good thing.

Better comment servers coming from Userland.

Mr. Young's second nugget:

Scott Young:On the infrastructure side, I am please to say that UserLand is getting its act together with a full suite of fast new servers. This will really help the Radio comments issue and significantly improve the user experience with Radio.  Hope to have these beasts on-line in the next week or so.

Outstanding! Thank you so much!
