My experiences are similar, except that I didn't have a digital camera before, but was relying on my old Minolta 35mm SLR and a bit newer APS zoom compact. Now I have decided to go digital. And yes, I already ordered Canon Ixus 400 (PowerShot S400), and hope that I'll can pick the camera up today, with the accessories I ordered at the same time (a 512 MB cf card, a spare battery, and a carrying case).
