TS commented my entry on M. C. Escher: 'I guess you have read the book "Gödel, Escher, Bach..." by Douglas R. Hofstaedter. Recommended.'

Yes, it is a nice book. However, I was already familiar with Gödel and Escher before reading the book, which made it a bit too repetitive. But as a book it is highly recommended, a great non-fiction book.

Last year I reviewed the book M. C. Escher's Legacy - A Centennial Celebration (the review is available in Finnish). If you know a bit of mathematics and are interested in M. C. Escher, have a look at this nice collection of articles.
