CWD commenter my entry on Mad Hatter in IT: "165 million dollars! That is a lot! =(" So it is, but IT projects which end in chaos are not that uncommon. Wasn't there an big Australian bank which went bankrupt when their software project failed? (There was no backup plan.)

Today appeared my column in the printed version of the MikroPC magazine (titled Nörtin kasvupolku). I discussed how a computer nerd may grow to become a human being. Or, to be more serious, what are the really important skills when working with information technology.


[Item Permalink] Microfluidics: the next hype? -- Comment()
Yesterday I was in a seminar on microfluidics, for the second time in two weeks. This is a popular topics in Finland right now. A survey has been made, and the results were discussed in the seminar. There seem to be quite a few areas where a real breakthrough is possible.
