Multiple blasts paralyse London: "Many people are injured in explosions on the Underground network and a double decker bus in London." [BBC News | World | UK Edition]

I was just leaving for my daily bicycle ride when my wife said to come and watch the news. I could not enjoy my ride as usual. There[base ']s simply no disputing that Mac OS X is clearly the superior graphical user interface (GUI) OS that has some Unix-inspired heritage underneath the hood. The Linux GUIs are not even in the same league."

Neanderthal Genome May Be Reconstructed: "German and U.S. scientists have launched a project to reconstruct the Neanderthal genome, the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology said Wednesday."

I read on my vacation the science fiction books "Darwin's Radio" and "Darwin's Children" by Greg Bear. These were based on speculation about ancient human genes. The truth may be stranger than fiction, perhaps.
