OOA/OOD for .NET programmers & some free network utilities I recall well over a decade ago, diving into Grady Booch's book 'Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with Applications' (both editions). This was necessary - building complex financial applications needed some thought prior to hammering the keyboard with C++ code. James Coplien called the need for the 'iso-morphic structure principle' - managing complexity with mapping the problem world with the system world. For those short on time to acquire that prescience, here's an article, 'The Quick and Dirty .NET Guide to C#/VB Object-Oriented Programming' that puts the OO terms together for the .NET programmer. Famatech has a couple of free network utilities for your tool chest. Very useful for checking your network ports and connectivity. They also sell RADMAN, an inexpensive tool for system administration and tech support. 10:19:08 AM ![]() |
