IM Security issue in Enterprises Use of freely available IM software has taken its toll on corporate enterprise networks[ComputerWorld 05.09.03]. Security problems are calling for tougher security measures and more commercial-grade products - Groove perhaps? But that may provoke the Decentralization Battle. The question to ask is why did the end-user deployed the IM software in the first place? There was a need of course but couldn't that be established and addressed at start? This shows the heart of the problem with IT - being reactive rather than proactive. 10:29:34 AM
