For the Data Challenged A few month's back son Alex received his 2005 edition of Private Colleges and Universities. In an article entitled, Getting Past "Sticker Shock," the lone inset table of explanation was labeled, Sticker Price vs. Real Price. Here were the headings of the 3 data columns with a sample entry included: 1) College Sticker Price $22,320 2) Average Aid Package $12,000 3) Real Cost $10,320 At the bottom of the table was a notation that read, "Aid packages typically include grants, scholarships, work and loans." Work and loans are not not part of real cost?
