CAFTA gets coverage in Yes Weekly Took the family out for a Kohl's Frozen custard down on Battleground near Wendover and picked up the latest issue of Yes Weekly. There it is in the section it belongs "Dirt" a well done (though incomplete) article by Jordan Green. Watt said representatives of Dell and FedEx Ecompanies that respectively plan to set up manufacturing and distribution facilities in the Triad Ehave urged him to support CAFTA. They argue that there is little risk in their jobs being outsourced to Central America, Watt said, and that reducing trade barriers would allow them to export personal computers and handle packages with more ease. Dell and FedEx - exactly the kind of corporate welfare types CAFTA (and the FTAA) are written to benefit...at our expense. The major transfer of political power to unelected bureaucracies aside, think of this as expansion of taxpayer subsidized incentives programs to Centeral America...except that since there is little of that population's money to rob, US taxpayers still get to pick up the tab. 2:56:17 PM![]() |
