Why Blogger sold to Google - the official story

Here is the "from the horses' mouth" version. Evan William explains why Pyra sold answers and several other common questions that have been generated.

The part that struck home for me was "It's been a long four+ years since we started the company, and not all of them were very fun." As a founder and CEO of a venture capital backed development company that fell victim to the dot-com crash 2-years ago this month -- I applaud Evan and his crew for being able to hang in there, especially these last 2-years.

This deal is the stuff that recovering dot-com founders like myself dream of achieving in our next company.
