Sustainable Pottery Our local electric company allows us to choose where we get our electricity (and pay extra for.) We've chosen to go with a renewable option. They use geothermal and wind power to create electricity. So if I fire with an electric kiln, the energy is coming from the wind and heat of the earth...that is too neat. Of course not quite as cool as using a solar kiln. 12:01:19 PM
