Astronomical Civilizations Thinking about yesterday's post about celestial bodies (properly represented, as in start charts) being used for decoration on ceramics...we might being an exploration thus- Since ceramics was used extensively during ancient periods, we may find more examples in the past. Now days, we could look at plastic, metal, etc... What ancient civiliations to study? The Conference of European Society for Astronomy in Culture (SEAC) presented a symposium on the Astronomy of Ancient Civilizations in 2000.
