§ - Actor Sentenced to Four Months - Hollywood star Scott Bairstow and his attorney told a sentencing judge yesterday that the actor's time behind bars is threatening to cut into his time before the camera. "Out of sight, out of mind has never been more true than in the entertainment industry." - Uh, you're supposed to think of this before you do stuff that will land you in jail.

§ - Another reason to hate underwire bras - The Friendly Skies - Okay, the bra thing is kind of buried in Melinda's story but since I just had to go through a security check myself this morning (federal office, not airport), I'm very grateful that they only confiscated the teeny tiny screwdriver I carry for repairing my glasses and didn't have to mess with my underwear!
| I did learn that Doc Martens have gone from the Good Shoes To Go Through An Airport Security Checkpoint With (as in "You all need to take your shoes off and put them through the x-ray... oh, those are Doc Martens, they'll be fine, you can keep them on, they don't set off the metal detectors,") to the Bad Shoes To Go Through Etc. ("I don't care what they are. New orders as of last month. They have thick soles. You can put them through the x-ray or have a full body search, your call").
