Big, low-flying helicopter just went over. Huh? No searchlight, not circling, just moving right along on the flight path, so I'm guessing it's not police. Very odd. Keep in mind that I'm under the landing pattern of a major airport so air traffic is a regular thing 24 hours a day, but that's generally 747s and 737s, not helicopters!
Another power outage! (Makes you wonder if they fixed the problem right Thursday night.) At least it happened a little earlier today so it wasn't dark outside yet. Of course, since it was another gloomy gray day (typical Seattle winter weather) it wasn't particularly bright outside to begin with, and most of my windows aren't particularly well situated for interior illumination at the best of times. But at least this time I could wander around the house without having to use the flashlight to keep from running into things.
Okay, now, where was I when I was so rudely interrupted? (I think I've probably lost the spam news items I had open earlier...)
