Utah Legislature's involvement in National Politics not unusual The attempt in the Utah Legislature to promote a resolution that advocates getting the US out of the United Nations is only one of several efforts in various state legislatures to advocate foreign policy.  Legislatures in Main and Hawaii have passed resolutions urging President Bush to rely on diplomacy to resolve the Iraq issue. South Carolina passed a resolution supporting Bush.  And the Connecticut Legislature joins Utah's in promoting efforts to eliminate American involvement in the UN.
