I've been Blogspammed!

So, two posts down or so, in my links post, Nikita Demosthenes posted a whole entry in my comments window. Normally, this would be welcome. Except that it didn't have a blessed thing to do with my blog. It was, in fact, a complete post from HIS blog. Dude, poor form. Knock it off. If I want to read your site, I'll go there, or read your RSS feed.

What Would Jackie Robinson Do?

Ralph Wiley of ESPN has a killer column up today on minorities in sports called What Would Jackie Robinson Do?
We know where the underlying hate comes from -- the jealousy, the envy, and the long history of scientific bigotry as moral backbone for economic exploitation. That part's easy to figure, Jackie would think. Not really all that easy to deal with, but at least familiar. At least there is nobility in a fight against such evil. But where did all this self-hate come from? Where is the nobility in that? I think Jackie Robinson would think about that long and hard, and curse the men who left these babies to grow up into giants who don't know how to be men. He might blame music. He might blame movies. But, mostly, Jackie would blame them. Jackie would say, "You're not a man. You're a punk."

A walk on Cloud...well..six and a half.

Here's a walk around my Blog Cloud this morning.

First, an interview that I did with Brent Simmons, of NetNewsWire fame.

John from Inluminent has gotten a DVR. And surprise, he loves it. I couldn't live without my TiVo.

I found This to be an incredibly interesting comparison between the Bush Administration and the British Government under Margaret Thatcher.

Something interesting from jkrank about the building of the US Embassy in Bulgaria...apparently they're contracting out to Americans in Bulgaria to watch the construction workers, to avoid the duplication of an incident in Moscow involving bugs in the concrete.

Lori took some pictures this weekend.

The first rule of Blog Club is....

Oh, and thanks to Ben Hammersley! He points out that it's Pancake Day!
