DDT back?

Krempasky and I may disagree about the necessity for Pave France. However, we had a conversation about DDT while waiting for a movie, and sure enough, a month later, I see this article in Plastic about it.

Read up.

It's Friday, and you know this, man

We have finally reached that pinnacle of the week, Friday, from which all good things come. Thence, I shall bring ye the Friday Links that you may'st revel in their goodness.

...Perversion Tracker covers Sim Stapler.

...Man Shoots Laptop, film at eleven.

...When $30,000 will save you $1.5 mil, it's time to buy that politician. Welcome to the States. If you can see it, it's for sale, for the right price.

...Chris weighs in, and does it well, on the Raging Cow Problem. As a blogger with little to no street cred, he's spot on. As you gain readership and say intelligent things, you get more street cred. Shilling for a soft drink on your blog costs you some of that. More from Chris:

B[usiness]-Blogs do exist, but I'd like to believe they exist because their owners have a passion for their subject matter burning deep inside of them. How many passionate attendees will it take for the Jupitermedia conference to be crowned a success? Just because you can post an entry or two doesn't make you a blogger. That's the bottom line.

...You Need to Read This. Stop Right Now, Click Here and come back. I'll be waiting.

Okay. Doc Searls and David Weinberger are pointing out what should be glaringly obvious, but somehow, haven't been, to lawmakers, to marketers, to your average American. What has escaped most of us is this: "All we need to do is pay attention to what the Internet really is. It's not hard. The Net isn't rocket science. It isn't even 6th grade science fair, when you get right down to it."

So read this, learn stuff, and be better for it. Then go sit down with your boss and make him read it. And make his boss read it. So we can all get it through our skulls that the internet isn't a Market, it's an agreement to do things.

...Leander Kahney talks about Macs and Phones and more specifically about Clicker.

...This may cause an uproar. Stem Cell Therapy Repairs Heart. We get closer every day to unlocking some of those deep mysteries of our own body. Some may choose to demonize this practice and have in the past. I'm all for us controlling more of our own destiny.

...Cory says, Bring Your WiFi if you're going to SXSW next week.

...David Hyatt has put a wager on the table. Dinner's on him if you can implement XBL fastload in Mozilla. No, I don't know what the means either, but if you do, go for it.

Hyatt also talks, at some length, about tabbed browsing. It's an interesting read, even if you choose to eschew tabs.

...This one's for Jamie. Classify your pervert! I suddenly feel...dirty.
