I'm feeling pretty sick today.  I've had a cold all weekend, and it doesn't seem like it's much better today.  I stopped on the way home tonight and got some Nyquil.  I expect to be passing out soon.

I installed all the Perl prerequisites for Moveable Type on my Linux box tonight.  I'm going to try to get it up and running so I can compare it to Radio.

Odd way to start off the week.  I arrived at my gig in Houston to find out some guy had tried to climb the building this morning and fell.  They're making it sound like a suicide.  Here's a link:

It was really disturbing.  When we got there, they had his body uncovered taking pictures.  Very morbid.  He had hit the grass and left a small crater.  His head was mishapen and his body looked like a rag doll.  His limbs were arranged in very unnatural positions radial to his body.  He was lying on his back, with his head sort of turned to his right.  He was wearing what looked like a navy jogging suit.

There were a few people looking, but I think most people found it too difficult to stand there and look at him.  One woman asked our group if that was a dummy down there (she hadn't heard).  When we told her what had happened, she became visibly disturbed.  Who could blame her?

The news that I've read says he made it to the 30th floor.  However, someone in our office said there were people on the 44th who saw him outside their windows before he let go.  They said he was singing some "goofy" song.

The holidays do strange things to people.  I guess it's a combination of Seasonal Affective Disorder and the stress.  This guy definitely picked a grand exit.
