Guardian: "The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has stepped into the controversy between religious fundamentalists and scientists by saying that he does not believe that creationism - the Bible-based account of the origins of the world - should be taught in schools."

He is perfectly right. If God created this world, he also created the whole system that keeps it going, that is what we call science. If some people have no faith in science, they can't possibly believe in God.

God is being used as an excuse for killing and cheating.
PalmBeachPost: "Finding inspiration from God, The Last of the Mohicans and The Lord of Rings, Katherine Harris told hundreds of conservative Christians Saturday that she is 'a work in progress'.
Harris, who told a national television audience Wednesday that she would be spending $10 million to win Florida's U.S. Senate race, said she never would have entered politics if she did not believe that God wanted her to make public service part of her life."

What next? Tony Blair telling us God wanted him to have those secret loans?

George W. Bush is in denial. Someone should tell him that the war is running out of control, that his soldiers are running amok and that those returning from Iraq are mental wrecks. Or maybe Bush doesn't care at all. He is willing to spill blood for oil. Reconstruction? Forget it!

Guardian: "At the start of the Iraq war, around $23bn-worth of Iraqi money was placed in the trusteeship of the US-led coalition by the UN. The money, known as the Development Fund for Iraq and consisting of the proceeds of oil sales, frozen Iraqi bank accounts and seized Iraqi assets, was to be used in a 'transparent manner', specified the UN, for 'purposes benefiting the people of Iraq'.
For the past few months we have been working on a Guardian Films investigation into what happened to that money. What we discovered was that a great deal of it has been wasted, stolen or frittered away."
