Big Rock + Atmosphere =
Try and convince me that this isn't a really cool photo. Go on. Try.
That picture was taken last week in the UK. You can read about it at RedNova.
I saw something very similar almost ten years ago while lying on a beach at Padre Island in Texas. About 2am or so a huge fireball lit up the sky, just like the one in the photo above, and roared overhead. Happened so fast that at first I had no clue what it was. To this day I wish I'd had a camera and extremely fast reflexes.
