Franklin Update For those of you wondering what has become of my cat (all three or four of you), here's the latest. Franklin is still holed up in an undisclosed location in a foreign country.  By foreign, I mean neither the United States or Germany.  Based upon the current United Nations numbers, that narrows down the possibilites to 189 other countries.  Being the nice guy I am, I'll give you a clue.  He's not in Seychelles.  Frankly, I don't know where Seychelles is. He's under the care and supervision of people sympathetic to my cause.  It has been decided that to relocate him now to Central Europe would be both dangerous to his health, and with shipping costs being what they are, the cost/benefit ratio does not work out in his favor.  In other words, his furry ass ain't worth it right now. So the new plan of action which has been drawn up by committee (i.e., I asked a bunch of people at work) is for me to transport him personally on the plane from that undisclosed location during Christmas break.  That way the costs are much more reasonable, he doesn't have to worry about freezing to death, and I won't have to track him down through the animal shipping facility at the Frankfurt airport. Of course I still have to cram his ungrateful butt into a small box for several hours, but I can't make everyone happy.  Plus side is that he'll have a much bigger house to bum around in once he gets here. 11:14:48 AM     |
