IMing Whitey Had an amusing chat with someone through MSN Messenger this evening.  I really don't know who the person is I was chatting with.  Maybe I knew at some point, but I've now long since forgotten.  Personal peeve:  people who have profiles that do not let you know who the person is.  That was the case with "hey long time no see!!!"  I'd probably feel worse about posting this if I knew who the hell s/he was.  Here's the chat for your amusement.  For the record, s/he prompted me first, but I closed it before deciding to dive right in to "hey long time no see"'s world: Alex says:  Hi Alex says:  What's going on with you? hey long time no see!!! says:  nothin how bout u hey long time no see!!! says:  i just got back from MN Alex says:  Just wrapping up my day and thinking about going to bed early. Nippy How do you say "nippy" in German?  I ran it through Babel Fish and it comes back as "nippy."  Somehow I don't think that's a word synonymous in both languages. nip·py    ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (np) adj. nip·pi·er, nip·pi·est Tending to nip: an exuberant, nippy puppy. Sharp or biting: nippy cheese. Bitingly cold: a nippy fall day. But nippy in any language was what it was this morning, and for the past several mornings.  I know back in what I used to call home it is still fairly warm, but here in the land of the Hun, it is nip-o-rama.  Below freezing each and every day. The picture included with this post was the view out the back of my house.  Fog and frost everywhere.  The picture doesn't really do it justice, but trust me, I definitely had that frosty mug sensation this morning.  Speaking of frosty mugs, what is an Icelandic pub doing in Florida?  Not that I wouldn't go there if I had the chance (because I would quicker than you can say "nippy" in Icelandish), but because I want traditional Icelandic pub fare like Sunshine State Egg Rolls.  That and the bar wench has those kind of piercing blue eyes that you only see in...Icelandic pubs down in central Florida.
