It's Friday
"In contrast to motorists, who are enclosed, cyclists are exposed. Completely exposed in a stream of heavy machinery, and exposed to the sky above, feeling whatever weather is coming down. The cyclist's exposure, although it is a source of fear and trouble, turns out to be an even greater source of joy, as it makes the experience of cycling in the city that much more colorful and intense. Even the most ordinary errand becomes a memory-maker. Although the trip may take longer, time spent on the bike is never wasted. The journey becomes an end in itself. That, my friends, is what life is all about."
