The Utah Rural Telecommunication Association, or URTA, group is meeting this week and I've been invited to the conference. It is a good opportunity for me to meet with the leaders of these companies since they are all in one place. And because the conference is held in St. George, we are all in a pretty good mood. That's nice.

UEN has worked at building a relationship with the URTA members over the past few years. It is the support of URTA companies that got our statewide Ethernet project started. In a time when our biggest LEC was skeptical about Ethernet several of these companies took the UEN request seriously, signed some contracts with UEN and then actually provided Ethernet circuits.

This is a good group of companies. They have a unique set of challenges. We don't always see eye-to-eye, however, we are willing to work together. I think our relationship has made a difference.........
