The most valuable skills

Okay, you have a couple of hours to study. What should you do? Read a technical book specific to your job? Or get a book that helps you understand how to build good relationships? For most geeks it's a no-brainer. Hone those technical skills.

I am often asked the question, "how can I make myself more valuable and how can I make more money?" Most times my answer isn't received with great enthusiasm. But business is all about building relationships. So the more a person works on building the soft skills the more valuable that person will become. It's really that simple.

A good, basic place to start is reading the book "Built to Last"...........
