SEDC Board Meeting
Today I'm spending time in Cedar City at the SEDC Board meeting. SEDC
is the regional service center serving the six school districts in
southwest Utah. Over the last few weeks the Tech staff at SEDC has been
installing the generator that was jointly funded by SEDC and UEN. It's
been about a year since UEN funded this project. It is now complete and
was presented as a finished project to the SEDC Board today.
I was impressed because Cory and Jack prepared a live demonstration,
cutting the external power to the generator and showing us the workings
of the transfer switch. Too many times in the past I've witnessed
generator tests at the first power outage proving that the generator
was not installed properly. So seeing a live test was a satisfying
experience.
Congratulations to Cory, Jack and the rest of SEDC staff. Good job!............
