The June 1st, 2004 edition of my ADF Data Binding Primer and ADF/Struts Overview whitepaper is now live on OTN. I've updated the original paper to include two major new sections that provide a lot more details about the built-in event-handling features of the ADF DataAction and about how to use the ADF binding layer to bind to the results returned from methods. Each of these two new sections comes with its own small example application that is explained in the paper.

I've tested printing this using Internet Explorer and it comes out quite readable without right-side truncation.

Initially, a lot of this material was something that is currently explained in the BC4J Toy Store Demo. As I have been working on finishing the ADF Toy Store whitepaper, I decided it made more sense to explain these generic ADF features in an evolution of the ADF primer whitepaper instead of shoehorning them into a whitepaper that is explaining the implementation of the application built using ADF. So, my ADF Toy Store whitepaper will include a link to this ADF primer document as a more detailed background info on ADF, and it will focus mostly on what's specific to the demo implementation.
