The ADF Toy Store Demo is now available on OTN.

The demo is a simple web storefront application adhering to the Model/View/Controller (MVC) design pattern, implemented using two existing J2EE application frameworks: Apache Struts and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF). By dissecting the framework-based implementation of the demo, we learn how Oracle ADF simplifies building all aspects of the model layer, and how the Struts and ADF frameworks cooperate to simplify implementing the view and controller layers. The web user interface is fully translated into English, Italian, and German to show off the internationalization features of these two frameworks.

A special thank you to JR, Shailesh, Sung, Juan, Charles, Dhiraj, Marta, Louis, Brian D. and Paul B. from our Dev team who helped me in one way or another along the way, to Versha, Rohini, Manju, Amy, and Venkat from QA who helped shake out problems, to Shay from our PM team who (after my delay in finishing...) got the bits staged on OTN in a hurry, and to Alice and Bill from our Oracle AppServer team who helped with multi-user testing.
