At this point I need to talk to someone who has done SMS development. Posted messages to the Tmobile newsgroup, but my impression is that it’s not actively monitored by this group. I scoured the newsgroups on deja.com and found some old, old postings about SMS. Am I about to hitch my wagon to another ancient technology? I got one response from someone who had his company bought by someone else and miraculously still checks his old email. I also got a name and number of the Tmobile person who does developer training. We’ll see what happens.

If I could have gone to the mobility conference, I might not be at square zero with this. But that’s water under the bridge.

Setting up the development environment and understanding the deployment issues are definitely the next steps. I’m tempted to start specing, cause that’s the tools I have on hand, but I recognize the plan will be even richer once I nail through the technology.
