Pundits and hardware reviewers are always dismissing laptops 6 lbs. and greater as "too heavy to be a true travel machine". I've always been puzzled by this, my laptop is well over 6 lbs.--before you add in the weight of peripherals--and I take it to most meetings, and take it home every night. Granted, I am a large male, but I just don't see what the big deal is. Lighter would be nicer, sure, but it doesn't seem enough to make a qualitative difference.
