I bought my first digital camera 15 months ago. It didn't take long for me to start craving an upgrade. That craving has turned into full-blown lust, for the (Panasonic) Lumix DMC-FZ10, $500 street. A nice, budget-friendlier choice would be the Fuji FinePix S5000, which can be had for under $300. Unforch, it does use non-standard xD memory cards. Or maybe the Lumix' little brother, the DMC-FZ1. Of course, all the above cameras are in the ultra-zoom category (at least 10X).

Just finished two 800+ page books, a bio of Henry Kissinger, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (see my book list for brief comments).

Draco Malfoy seems to be figuring less and less in the stories. I had been thinking that he would make a big "comeback" before the last word is written, and I think the scene with Malfoy at the end of Book 5 may foreshadow this.
