I personally have no brief for the Hamiltons - he the disgraced former MP, she the wife of a disgraced former MP. However, I was taken aback when they were accused of raping a woman in their London flat. Surprisingly, it turns out that one of Columbia's flight recorders survived the destruction of the Shuttle. On second thought's maybe it's not so surprising. After all it was designed for just such an eventuality. Anyway, data from the recorder is being analsysed and it seems the heat damage started early on during re-entry. [spacetoday.net]
