I've mentioned earlier that Easter is when the British National Science Fiction Convention takes place and that this year Seacon 03 is taking place in Hinckley in Leicstershire. One of the events that usually takes place at Eastercon (the generic term for the annual convention) is the presentation of the British Science Fiction Association Awards. This year was no exception and the winners were:

Best Novel: The Separation, Christopher Priest

Best Short Fiction: Coraline, Neil Gaiman (Bloomsbury)

Best Artwork: Dominic Harman (Interzone #179 May 2002)

Best Nonfiction: "Introduction", David Langford (Maps: The Uncollected John Sladek Big Engine)
