well, I've decided to change my focus on hiring, what I really need is an assistant, someone that can learn new things quite easily, that can balance their checkbook, someone that can spell and knows the alphabet, someone that will ask questions and can follow directions, I only need part-time help and it seems when I advertised for a bookkeeper - what I got was accountants, accounting manager and not administrative general office help.
New Ad Heading: Can you balance your checkbook?
Ad Description:
Office and Personal Assistant Part Time (20 hrs/wk) $15.00 per hour
I am looking for a part-time assistant for my professional services company. I am a sole-proprietor, but do a fair amount of business and thus need someone who is willing to wear many hats. You need to be outgoing, self-starter, motivate, bright, organized. Of course, you do need to know how to use a computer and typical office software. Job description would include (but not be limited to):
Bank Reconcillations (you can balance your own checkbook) Filing (you must be able to alphabetize) Data Entry. Basic Accounting Skills and Quicken experience helpful but can train (you know the difference between cash and expenses) Be available 4-5 days per week M-F (we can work around your class schedule). Have a long term outlook (planning to stay at least one year, including summer). Be able to work in San Francisco and Vallejo and the East Bay Special Projects as needed Must love animals

So what do you think? will this get me people willing to work for $15.00 per hour?
