I did talk to the centre director today and told her that there is no way I can keep on their schedule of eating every 2 hours for one I'm not that hungry. She asked what I had eaten so far today - well when she called it was 2pm but I got up at 11.30am so I wasn't even hungry at 2pm and I was in the car when she called - I don't have a microwave in the car, some of my clients don't have microwaves on site and carrying around frozen food just doesn't work for me. She said that I should eat every 3-4 hours - ok that's a little more managable - after about 4 hours of sitting and programming, I usually get up for a snack or water or something - stretching too and that she is really sorry that the first consultant didn't listen to my concerns about my schedule and that the whole point is working with each individual person's schedule/needs. Some days I work til 4-5am in the morning and get up really late in the afternoon, some days I get up at 8am and head out the door - I need something I can eat in the car, on the run or carry in my bag that's not frozen and some days I work a 15 hour day and stop and grab something unhealthy to keep going (usually something with sugar). My first thought this morning was coffee - I cut back on the sugar a little and didn't eat a fruit to make up for the sugar intake. The milk thing - I'll just not eat the nonfat yogurt - that should make up for it anyways, nonfat plain yogurt - ick.
So far the food - the pizza looked a little skimpy - didn't try it. The chicken carbonara was good, little skimpy on the chicken but otherwise really good - my cats liked it. The chicken stuff sandwich - umm, ok, not great, I think the cats liked it more than me. The oatmeal breakfast bar - that's delicious - I need those in the car with me. Tonight, I'm trying the salmon.
And tommorrow - exercise, taking Bart instead of driving. Although last time I check, Bart doesn't have microwaves on it either.
The only thing I can say so far - I'm tired, really really tired but that could be the lack of sleep too.
oh yea, what is with the margarine thing? I refuse to eat margarine, butter is so much better for you anyways. And their cereal packages - I have way better natural cereal with less calories and less fat and better for you ingredients - I'm substituting that one.
In general I think it will work out, some of their food choices - ick and some of my food choices aren't bad ones, I think I got off track a little with my schedule and eating really unhealthy - hopefully this will get me back on track with correct portions and healthy eating.
