CLINICAL LANS

Bluesocket's Wireless Gateways for Managing Enterprise Wireless Networks

Bluesocket (Burlington, MA) is featured by AlwaysOn for their use of wireless gateways for managing wireless access points (AP). By using policy-based networking rules, individual AP's can be managed on a global basis. This probably contrasted best by Cisco's approach to maintaining the "intelligence" at each AP.

Among the over 200 academic institutions contracted by Bluesocket include such as the Harvard Medical School, the University of Michigan, and the London School of Economics

CLINCIAL WIRELESS

Resources: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Issues

As a follow-up to a recent post on this blog about studies done at McGill University, and the interest expressed on the Palm-Med listserv, I'll begin to collect the links of some pertinent Web articles on the subject.

The Mobile Healthcare Alliance (MoHCA) Second National Summit on EMC and other presentations (thanks to Peter Kaufman, MD of DrFirst for this link)

pdaMD.com's Wireless Devices and Electromagnetic Interference in Hospitals, Urban Myth? (thanks to James Lie, MD, Albany, Australia)

Once I pull this all again, I'll put it together with a summary and provide a permanent link on the sidebar.

SADDAM CAPTURED, REPORTS ARRIVING FROM BLOGS WORLWIDE

My first link has to be to BuzzMachine, Jeff Jarvis' blog. I've been following his blog because of his series of reports about anti-terror protests in Iraq. Now, as the blogosphere begins to wake up (Dave had a sleepless night due to lack of heat. He's recently created a categories feature for RSS, and has posted a category "Special Events" with his links to stories relating to Saddam's capture.), it will be worthwhile to follow the reports posted on blogs throughout the world.

Iraqi bloggers: Hammorabi, Baghdad Skies.
Coverage from the BBC.
No reports yet from President Bush's official blog or Dr. Dean's official blog.
