RSS-User Yahoo! Group

Dave just started this discussion group in anticipation of the Winterfest webinar that's coming up.

Medicinenet.com Provides RSS Feeds

The above link is their general categories plus if you scroll down, you'll find some good links for a basic intro to RSS. Here you can find their specialty topics, the first half of their 1,084 feeds.(!) At this level, these feeds are used more in a reference, or "pull" manner rather than the "push" you would expect from news stories whcih are updated frequently. For this reason, when using a wireless handheld it might make more sense to simply bookmark their advanced search page, since you'll be able to pull up the same stories plus access their excellent medical dictionary.

As an example, here's their specialty feed for "Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease." I'm surprised it hasn't been updated recently.

I'm continuing to survey medical wireless WAN services, including RSS feeds. I was disappointed that the FDA's MedWatch is not syndicated, but is published in the form of a listserv.
