According to an Email I recieved today the Marching band director Rich Alapaz and the other Teachers of the Year from San Jose were honored Tuesday night by the Mayor of San Jose, Ron Gonzales and the City Council at the city council meeting. Leigh High principal, Rick Costanza and Rich were invited to attend the meeting where Rich received a plaque in honor of his achievement. We're proud of you Rich!
Here are some important dates! - The Marching Band will be performing their award winning field show, A Dead Man's Tale for the last time Monday, November 24th at 2:00pm on the football field at Leigh. Music students from Union, Dartmouth and Ida Price Middle Schools will be brought to Leigh to view the show. Parents, friends and neighbors are also invited to attend.
- Los Gatos Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 6th.
- Ken's Winter Concert is Wednesday, December 17th at the Concert Hall in the Music Building at San Jose State University.
Ken Compton is coming!Tonight my friend Ken Compton is coming out from Reno. He is my oldest male friend, we've been friends for 26 years. Ken is one of the Kens my son Kenneth is named after. He is an old train buddy. I am really excited about seeing Ken
