Winter Holiday Concert a great show!
The Winter Holiday Concert, put on last night by the Leigh High School Music Department in the music building at San Jose State, was a great show. Steve, Jonathan and Diane Chauncy joined Jeff, Sue and I at the concert. As well as being in Marching Band, Kenneth is in Leigh's Symphonic Band. Because of where we and he sat during the performance we couldn't see him play, but the music was great. Along with Ken's band there is Concert Band, mostly made up of freshmen, and the Wind Ensemble which is made up of seniors who have to audition for inclusion in the ensemble. Rich Alipaz, the director of the music department at Leigh has done a fantastic job with these kids.
After the concert I picked up Sue's mom Fran from the airport. She's now staying with us! Tonight we are going to see the new Lord of the Rings movie!
