Lining

"I'm a little camera hog."

Chunky totes: I've finished a couple of the Chunky Totes from Vogue Knitting on the Go: Bags and Backpacks--OK, the lime green purse still needs seaming--and realized that one would have serious bag sag if one toted anything heavier than a lipstick. This means lining; send Xanax. I enjoy sewing about as much as having my teeth scraped. Valiantly I headed toward the Denver Fabrics Annex and purchased the above. When all deadlines are dispatched will attach myself to Mom's bobbin-impaired Pfaff and try to stitch up some respectable linings. Argh.

Bag hag: Since I've been on this bag thing, I've found a number of cool sites for handmade purses, mostly sewn not knit. For your viewing pleasure, I present:

Funky Chunky Handbags

Jill E Handmade Necessities

Belle Bags

Laura Bee Designs

Katie Bisbee Designs

Diva Decoupage

Daily kudos: Did you'all know that Slate magazine publishes new Doonesbury? Very, very funny.
