Proud new mama: (Above) This is Stephanie, my first-cousin-once-removed-in-law and early knit tutor victim. (Mom and I taught her to knit.) Now look what she's gone and done! She knit her first sweater. And it's a beaut! For the record, this little number was knit in Araucania Nature Wool, which is hand-dyed by a woman's cooperative in Chile, color 22 (I think). Stephanie two-stranded it and it is the most luscious crimson with these sexy cables down the arms. This is the pattern she used...Stephanie wisely extended the length of the sweater and adjusted the collar to her face. Isn't she a stunner! (Know any cute Jewish boys? Sorry, Steph, can't help myself! :-) )
