Classy class

Class projects (click here)
Never say, "never": Click on the link above to see the amazing projects completed by the women in my first knitting class. (To be fair, the socks and larger bags were finished in other classes, but everything else has been knit since Nov. 6--and they didn't even bring it all!) Meeting on the sly in their own Stitch and Bitch on Monday nights, these women have taken their knitting to new levels. Cheryl is knitting "off road," to coin a phrase from Knitter's Review, and made the small bag (below right) without benefit of a pattern; Janine, who made the Celtic-knot bag (left) and sparkly shawl-in-progress (right) is selling her scarves at a local boutique. And Rozanne, a girl after my own heart, made that awesome mauve muff (top) and is screaming to the finish line on the Harry Potter scarf on small needles!
What did I learn? I always said, I never wanted to teach, ever. Even shimmied out of it in grad school. But I had no idea how much fun it would be sharing ideas and techniques with adults. You guys taught me a lot. Grazie! And good work!
