I'm Home at Last!! Today was the day! We checked out of the hospital, said goodbye to all my nice nurse friends who were so great to us while we were there, and got into this very comfy carseat (nice and snug around like the womb). When we got to my new home in Quincy House, I met the other member of the family, Zebo the cat, who Celia told me all about. As you can see from the picture, neither of us were particularly impressed with the other, but I imagine we may warm up a little over the next few weeks. Home is great; I even got my very first book, with a totally great title, a gift from mom and dad and Celia's wonderful friend Estela Diaz, who I'm told just graduated from Harvard law school and left for San Francisco to study to take the California Bar in July. I'm sure glad I don't have to worry about things like that for a long time. 8:26:09 PM     Twice As Old Hey, I just doubled my age yesterday -- cool. Mama and I are still hanging out here in the hospital, but everyone says we can go home on Tuesday. Dad brought Celia to visit again Monday night and we had such a good time. She even read a book to me and one of her baby dolls (I don't know what she sees in them . . . they're so quiet and boring and, well, plastic. I'll show her what a real baby is all about!). Dad and Celia took me on a tour around the recovery floor so I could wave to all the other babies (actually, I have no idea what "wave" means, but they kept telling me I should do it. Other than those exciting few hours, though, I mostly nursed (which I am getting quite good at), napped, and yawned a lot. It's all so very exciting. But I'm ready to go home . . . I even hear Mama and Dad have lots of cute clothes for me to wear instead of these yucky hospital shirts I've been in. It's about time, I say! 3:41:15 AM
