I don't have time to read this now, but Scott mentioned learning something about Wiki. I don't even really know what Wiki is.  I will though...

 

Here's the Wiki page where people are deciding whether to use XML-RPC and/or SOAP. You can express your opinion if you like. That's how it works. I voted to make it easy for Brent, because I like Brent, and I think he should get a break because he works really hard and makes nice software. [Scripting News]

I was reading the below article and noted that this was an example of software that could've been explored, though who knows if it would've integrated with a home-grown system as well as just buidling it.

Quite the dilimia that folks want to do things on their own so they could do it EXACTLY like they want, when others have poured so much into making a universal product.

Universal products do work.  Like electricity. heh.

Help desk software has eye on compliance. FootPrints, accessed via a browser, lets IT staffs enter problems into a centralized database and share information about the progress made towards solving each problem. [Computerworld News]
