hi, beba. there you are. i was wondering when she'd let you out. there's a few things i need you to remember while you're running along this journey. -don't get consumed and forget to talk to yourself -accept your gut instincts -don't be lazy -trust. -think big and small picture. -create -play hard
now, get some sleep and i'll talk to you more tomorrow.

K's not here yet and my bathroom, kitchen and living room all *sparkle.*
Funny thing happens when I spend that much time in my bathroom...I always wonder, "who in the heck is that girl that lives in here." I, seriously, have SO much girly stuff...lotions, bubble baths, soaps, shampoos, make-up, hair-fixing stuff, hair-decorating stuff...I have enough for at least four girls. And I'm not even very girly. Does this stuff multiply in my cabinets? I know I don't really need to keep four different types of shampoo/conditioners in my shower, but I like different scents or heaviness-es-es based on my mood and the way my hair feels when I touch it. OOohhh, it's not that it's a girly-girl living here, it's that it's a moody-girl who conforms to her moods...same darn reason I have so many clothes.
I secretly like the smell of comet.
Oh, so when I spend time alone "doing stuff" I have to post here. Sorry.
My laundry is almost done. I feel so accomplished. I really just have to put clothes away and call it done. I'll still let K come over though and talk to me while I sort. She can keep Winnie-the-Pooh company. :)

Mom: I haven't voted yet, but will. I am probably going with Kerry. Me: I'll appreciate it if you vote for Kerry. Heh.

Oh, shaking it fixed it. Some incense dust also came out.
So, some people like to do real cleaning. I mostly like to look through stuff, throw some of it away and stack some of it up in baskets. Oh, and I like to sweep. Amazingly, my place doesn't look too bad from it. Good thing K likes the other kinda cleaning and is coming over...

Ooooops. Watered a plant that's setting on my cable box...and, well, no cable for Beba. DOH! Also, my cell phone isn't working, so I can't call from my house to complain. I'm so totally not kidding. New cell phone in 2-3 days. Maybe when the water dries...

Tomorrow: Girlfriends and margaritas to watch election coverage, talk about the un-fairer sex and work and family and life. So, really...I can clean and do laundry tonight. I can do it! heh.

I think I just talked a coworker into voting...gave him the handbook quote on the permission to be late. Another for Kerry. :)

Being productive feels good - even if it's stuff you don't want to do. Actually...maybe it feels best to get the stuff you don't like (but have to do anyway) done. My goal is normally to keep my inbox under 10 items. For October it stayed closer to 20. For November, I'd like to maintain around 5. Hhmm...means taking more immediate actions.
Anyone else wondering back about their new year's resolutions and how they can accomplish everything in the next two months? For me, I've mentally adjusted lately. I like to have the goals, but I need them to stay in an accomplish-able range. Like, I I think I'm 23 pounds away from weight-loss goal for the year, but I'll be happy with 13 (which is still hard, but doable). I did make some already (like international traveling), and that's nice.
So, yeah, I'm in this self-productive mode. After work I think I need to spend an evening completely on my own (in the sense that I'm not hanging out with friends)...go to the gym, go buy a few groceries (though, i could do that at lunch...we'll see) and do laundry. I'm going away this weekend so it's good to get stuff done before then.
Fall is a weird season. It's so beautiful, but you know what's coming (the unprettiest season that's full of cold). I'm gearing up.

This daylight savings time hit at a good time for me. I'm wide away at 7 when my alarm goes off, so I can do productive stuff like pay all my bills. Good stuff. Now remind me that I can't spend any money. :)
