Oh-oh, I bought a jumprope to take with me on my trip.  Must do cardio.

I've been doing this fun thing of running from my car to where-ever and back lately too.  It's a small change, but it's funny. And, at places where there's a sea of parking lot (and I refuse to drive around looking for spots, so I park far-far away), it's a decent heart-start.

Bills paid...check.  I love paying my bills through Bank of America.  Quick, quick, quick...

A friend pointed to this...

Dear Friend,
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced plans to launch an outrageous new study in which participating low income families will have their children exposed to toxic pesticides over the course of two years. For taking part in these studies, each family will receive $970, a free video camera, a T-shirt, and a framed certificate of appreciation. The study entitled CHEERS (Children’s Environmental Exposure Research Study) will look at how chemicals can be ingested, inhaled or absorbed by children ranging from babies to 3 years old.

Please take a moment to join tens of thousands of citizens in petitioning the EPA to terminate this study prior to its proposed launch in early 2005.

I bought a humidifier.  I'm getting old.

I'm trying to decide if I really want it before I use it...'cause I could still take it back.

I need to make a list of things to do tomorrow or Tuesday before heading out.....
-oil change
-hair trim
-pick up dry-cleaning
-get money order to pay a traffic ticket
-iron a few shirts for my trip
-pack
-pay bills (maybe i'll do that right after this post)
-trade in cable box
-figure out which credit card is best to use for my work expenses...
-talk about this crud on my mind

I went to the Walters today...first time in a while.  It was nice.  I have a membership, so I should go more.  Also went to see "The Motorcycle Diaries" at the Charles.  It was very nice.  I give it an 8/10.  A nice difference of the norm at life.  For dinner I went to "Thai Restaurant" in Waverly.  I haven't been there since there was snow on the ground, but was quickly reminded how nice their Pad Thai is.  And the jasmine tea was yummy to my throat (which is already starting to itch again).

No cable makes my apartment so quiet.  So, oddly quiet.

This is the second time in two days that I'm annoyed with myself over making assumptions.

Yesterday I was annoyed that I didn't plan for a wedding shower, with no games, would take over two hours.  I was then late and Scott was early...fortunately he was good (and more patient than I am) and he just waited.  It all worked out.

Today I had "sorta" plans and said "when you get up and around, call."  NO where in my mind did it occur to me that by 11:30 (i was thinking more like 10) would someone not be up and around.  I know that's silly of me, but I'm up by 8....pretty much regardless of when I go to sleep.  So, now I'm completely impatient and ready to go (and his phone is off) and am not sure what the protocol is to do.  Maybe I'll go to B&N and we can meet up later or some such.  It's hard for me to want to not make set plans, but then not assume something into having sorta plans.

K said she's worried about my mental stability that I get so anxious about stupid crap.  Me too, I suppose.

Cherry Theraflu isn't half bad.

I'm not very cute today.

Blah.

The 7 doesn't work on my new phone.

I think chocolate helps an achy body.

Okay, every piece of clothing, towels and sheets....all washed.

Medicine and throat drops....bought.

Me....ready to get out of the house and do something.  Where is my fella already?!

I love the internet.  I don't mind cable too, but it's good it's down today so I will actually be a bit more productive.  I'm about to head to the laundromat.  I have too much laundry for one, single girl.  It's going to cost me an arm and a leg to do.

Today I'm mostly justt feeling the sore throat mostly, but I think I will buy some actual medicine...and I may go to the doctor tomorrow if it's not better...I normally would just live through it, but I hate to (if i can avoid it) since I'll be on-site with a client all week.

Yesterday Scott and I went to see the Grudge (his pick) and it was quite possibly the single worst movie I've ever paid to see at the movies.  Ugh.  The lady beside me turned to me after it was over and said, "did you get that?"  I was like, "Um, I got that it was a really stupid movie."  Silly.

I also went to a wedding shower yesterday (which took up most of my day since I hadn't bought the gift yet) and am wondering about this odd tradition we have of buying presents for people that are getting married...still.  It's more understandable if you have a couple of 18-year olds...they don't have anything or any money to furnish their homes.  This couple, however, is a good example of the weddings I'm typically attending....a couple in their late 20's / early 30's..professionals...just had to throw out a lot of things because they're combining two full households...and yet, they get thousands and thousands of dollars of new gifts.  She's a tax manager and he's an engineer; they could've afforded to buy anything they wanted, really.  I'm not saying anything about this couple though - they're just following tradition. I just think it's and odd tradition.  Though, maybe not anymore odd than spending the amount of $$ people do on weddings...which in some cases could be a downpayment on a home and a month in Europe.  Or a new car. Whatever.  It's crazy.  It's one day. And, in 50% or so, there's a chance it's not going to last.  What's up with that?

Oh, I guess I should go do the laundry and clean out my car.  I should. I should.

Gargling with warm salt water (8 ounces of warm water mixed with 1 teaspoon salt) will ease sore throat pain. Gargle several times a day.

God bless my grandmothers.
