I am a goofy girl.  And I'm not shy about it.  I sent the CEO of my new employer a poem today (to sign up for the "fun committee").  I think it surprises people who are used to this odd shyness that most people seem to have.  What I've learned over time though is that a goofy person...well, they bring out the goofiness in other people.  A group can be all quiet and serious, but introduce one person who is not...and you'll find out who else is not completely that way either.  So, I sure hope to bring that out of some people at this place.  It's seeming quite serious so far.  SUPER nice, but also serious.  I think they're still not quite sure of what to think of my opinionated + goofy self... 4:13:38 PM

Weird...so I've been mentioning this calendar a lot with the things to be happy about. Today one of them is:  large trash receptacles.  Um, what?  Why would a lot of trash make someone happy?! 9:55:06 AM

Well, there's snow on the ground, but work still goes on.  What's up with this crazy northern state where 4 inches of snow doesn't even mean that schools close?  It flurries in the south and you can stay home!  Actually most people aren't at my office yet, so maybe it's just me that's crazy. I didn't make good use of my time at home last night, but I did enjoy not having to do much.  If I go home tonight (might hang out with some folks instead) it's laundry and cleaning and the gym....I didn't go this morning 'cause of all of the snow out; I was afraid it'd be closed (and I didn't want to wake up at 6 and have to call...I wouldn't have gotten back to sleep). So, there you have it. I'm trying to decide if I want to take up dating again.  I'm leaning towards "not now."  The inclination is just pretty low.  I guess, actually, I'm saying I'm not going to make active effort for a bit. 8:35:09 AM
