David Hoggard's take on local politics and life in general from Greensboro, NC

In the Terri Shiavo case, it just seems to me that those who are adamant in their "defense of marriage" are refusing to defend a basic right guaranteed to lawfully married couples: the right... and the obligation... to make life or death decisions for their spouses.

Terri Shiavo's cerebral cortex is gone. This whole thing sickens me.

****************

More... Alex Wayne: "Quite frankly, these people give Christianity a bad name. And if I were a Christian moderate -- is there such a thing anymore? -- I'd be pretty damn concerned, and I'd be pretty damn loud about it."

Even more... Trial by Legislation, a good overview of this whole sad mess.

And locally... David Wharton: "...if you're going to make a mistake in this case, why not err on the side of life? Especially since Terri's parents seem willing to carry that burden."  Jay Ovittore: "... Can you smell what the GOP is cooking? Yeah, the constitution!"

And finally... way more than you might want over at DailyKos.  And you think I get worked up over stuff.
