Well, I'm afraid I strayed too far from the original story that this resort owner wrote (posted about this on Thursday). So they won't be using it today. I found the original story, how shall I put this, unworkable. But in our brief discussion, he had seemed amenable to every suggestion I made to changing it. And I only had a day to write something. I thought if I made the point he was trying to make and incorporated all the key themes in a story with a plot that kids could get involved in he'd be pretty happy. My bad.
Anyway, I told them that if they weren't going to use it I'd like to. Why leave the thing in a drawer somewhere? So I changed all the particulars - location, names, etc. - so as to not have any remaining similarities to their original story. And you can read it for yourself here. Merry Christmas, all!
