New Year's Eve goes to the dogs
I rang in the New Year with friends and dogs. We had our champagne and they had their rawhide bones and we all had a grand time. At least we didn’t steal each other’s glasses of champagne and snarl at each other over them. Actually, the dogs mostly got along quite well – my vet-student housemate’s ancient boxer and bossy little schipperke, and my vet-radiologist friend’s amiable old chocolate Lab. My friends and I ate Tia’s Favorite Mexican Chicken (too spicy for the dogs, although they liked the tortilla chips) with a nice Jacob’s Creek Shiraz that my housemate contributed. We toasted at
And now I, for one, am enjoying a bit of a lull to clear my office files and my desk, and to relax and read and think and maybe write a little – in my private journal and maybe here too.
